Abundant Hope is Central Florida’s Christian Dance program. We currently offer dance classes for children ages 2.5-18 and adult ballet and contemporary. Our goal is to a provide a safe, fun, loving, nurturing, Christian environment to learn a variety of Christian Performing Arts. Our mission is to teach our students to spread the gospel through the arts and glorify God with all of their gifts.
Meet the Team
Berkleigh Regehr | Director & Instructor

Berkleigh Regehr is a local homeschooling mom of three. She graduated from Palm Beach Atlantic University with a degree in Cross Cultural Studies and Psychology. She grew up in Central Florida and moved back to the area with her husband Caleb in 2015. She has over 10 years of dance experience and always dreamt of opening up her own Christian dance studio. Berkleigh started Abundant Hope with the mission of having a positive, Christian environment for students to learn the art of dance and how to use their gifts to glorify God. She loves teaching creative worship dance and fostering an environment for students to worship God through dance and movement.
In her free time, Berkleigh enjoys homeschooling her children, spending quality time with her family and friends, adventuring outside, going to the beach, and being involved in her church.
Ivy Platt | Instructor

Ivy Platt is a professional choreographer, instructor, and dancer residing in Central Florida with her husband, Duncan. Ivy has over 20 years of professional dance experience from performing internationally to teaching master classes.
In her formative years, she received training from the Atlanta Ballet, Greenville Ballet, and Louisville Ballet. In high school, her summers were spent with the Boston Ballet and Rock School of the Pennsylvania Ballet. At the age of 18, Ivy joined Ballet Magnificat where she performed internationally for seven seasons and started teaching Master Classes. Throughout this time, her stage experience reached across the United States as well as Europe, South America, and the Middle East. In July 2010, she moved to West Palm Beach to attend Palm Beach Atlantic University. During her college career she established a ballet curriculum at a local studio and choreographed for several events. In April 2011 she was awarded the third-place prize for choreography at the National Society of Arts and Letters Southeast Chapter. In 2014, she graduated with honors with a degree in Elementary Education and opened the Harbour School of Dance. In 2015, Ivy became an adjunct professor of dance at PBAU while teaching at Many But ONE Christian Performing Arts, Inc., Astrid Audet Academy of Ballet and More, and the Preparatory Department of PBAU. Ivy’s more recent performance experience has been with Ballet Florida, Cornerstone Ballet, and under choreographer, Donna Murray.
Today, Ivy shares her time between instructing pre-professional dancers in person and via Zoom and enjoying being a wife and dog mom.
Alana Moran | Instructor

Alana Moran is a mom of two and a retired professional dancer. Alana has over 20 years of dance experience and 6 years of teaching experience. Alana is originally from Huntington Beach, CA where she grew her foundation and love for dance at The Southland Ballet Academy and Festival Ballet Theater. In high school, she decided to expand her dance knowledge by learning to tumble and joining a nationally ranked dance team for three years. After high school, she went on to teach ages 2-18 in various dance styles. In 2013 Alana moved with her family to Clermont, Florida. She was then hired into the Entertainment Department at Universal Orlando where she danced professionally until 2018. During this time Alana was seeking out an education degree and was a substitute teacher for the Osceola School District for four years. Additionally, she coached the Celebration High School Cheer team to multiple regional and national titles. In 2018, after marrying her husband and wanting to start a family, Alana retired her dancing shoes and moved into a management position with Universal Entertainment. She spent that next five years Stage Managing countless stunt and stage shows, parades, atmosphere actors and more! Alana left full time working after the birth of her daughter, but still enjoys working in management at Universal seasonally.
In her free time, Alana loves all things crafting and spending time with her husband and kids.
Laura Ruska | Instructor

Laura Ruska has taught and assisted classes in Acrobatics, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Musical Theater, Tap Ballet, Modern and Lyrical for the past 14+ years. She Graduated from Hillsong International Leadership College in Sydney Australia in 2019. She received a Certificate IV in Dance Ministry and her Diploma in Pastoral Ministry, with a focus on Kids Ministry. While in Australia, Laura also taught dance classes and ran a Dance Studio through an after-school program. Laura worked full-time as a professional dancer at Busch Gardens Tampa for five years as well as thirteen years at Universal Studios Orlando. She now works seasonally as a dancer/stilt walker at Universal, and in addition works at SeaWorld and Legoland as a stilt walker/ dancer. For the last 2 years she has been the Artistic Dance Director for the Performing Arts Academy of Central Florida where she has overseen the dance classes, choreographed all the dance numbers and put on a show. For the last 5 years, Laura has choreographed musicals for Central Florida Christian Academy.
Laura enjoys showing her love of dance with others and hopes to make a positive impact on others through the gift of dance.
